What
about my existing training materials?
- They can easily be integrated into the Connected Training
environment. We can even help you convert paper tests, workbooks
and video to work within the system.
What
if I already have a training program in place?
- Connected Training integrates well with existing systems
and equipment without expensive upgrades or software installations.
Do
my employees need to have access to the Internet in order
to use Connected Training?
- No. We offer stand-alone solutions that do not require
data exchange via a web connection. Such systems do not
allow central administration of employee data, but can be
used to print or fax test data to test administrators. Intranets
and other internal networks can also be supported even if
they do not provide access to the public Internet.
What
about updating my training information?
- We can provide updates for you, or provide a test administration
tool for you to update your own test content.
How
does the hybrid system work?
- The test software and content (graphics, video, audio
and animations) are stored on a CD/DVD-ROM for easy access
without time-consuming downloads. The Internet is only used
to exchange test data and results to a web-based database
application which acts as a central repository for all testing
information.
What
if my employees don't know how to use computers?
- Not a problem, since Connected Training is self-installing
and self-running. Once the CD/ DVD-ROM is placed in the
computer's disk tray, everything else is automatic and self-explanatory,
so even the most computer-phobic trainee will be using the
system within minutes.
Can
I use Connected Training for surveys or other non-graded
tests?
- Absolutely. The systems excels at all sorts of information
gathering tasks including surveys, quizzes and other non-traditional
testing methods and can do so anonymously without requiring
grading or other certification procedures.
Will
my employees be able to pass test answers to each other?
- Because the tests are each generated automatically and
at random, every test is different. This means that answers
will not be consistent from one test to another, since even
when a question might be presented to two different users,
its correct answer will not be in the same order each time.
This
sounds expensive. How does Connected Training compare to
the price of other forms of training?
- Connected Training is surprisingly affordable, especially
when compared to other testing methods. The cost of generating
paper tests, returning them for grading, and sending out
paper certificates alone is several times what can achieved
using the Internet, and duplication and shipping of several
CD or DVD discs can be done at a fraction of the cost of
providing just a single VHS tape.
What
kinds of things can I learn about the test results that
my employees generate?
- Every aspect of the testing experience can be validated,
from the time spent answering a particular question to the
number of employees who got a particular question wrong.
The types of reports provided allow you to customize the
information you receive to allow you to get the most out
of your employees' test data.
How
do I know if a certain employee has really taken a particular
test?
- Connected Training allows for open-standard support of
identity-verification schemes, from password protection
to the future of digital signatures. Although employees
can be devious, we make systems that are difficult to fool
when establishing true identity.
